Accent refers to a distinctive mode of pronuniciation of a language. As used in this Wiki, it refers to a "non-native pronunciation of English"; that is, pronunciation used by a character whose first language is not a variety of English.

For an A-Z listing of languages, see Omniglot. For a listing of countries, see the Wikipedia List of sovereign states.

If you are looking for plays in which characters speak a variety of English as their first language, please visit Plays with Roles Requiring a Dialect.
